i'm VICTORIA

Planning and designing a wedding at Old Edwards Inn is quite honestly a wedding planner's dream. There is already so much beauty surrounding the blue ridge mountains, so adding a quaint town, and pairing it with a luxury venue , makes The Farmhouse the most romantic place to get married (at least in my book).

When Kaitlen reached out to me about helping plan their day, I was beyond thrilled to begin this journey with her and Dustin. Something I didn't expect was having the opportunity to work with some of the kindest souls. Both Kaitlen and Dustin, along with Kaitlen's mom, Jamie, are the reason I love what I do. Even it you were to take away every magical detail that made this day beautiful, and I was still given the opportunity to plan alongside this family, I would do so 100-times over.

When it came to the overall vision, Kaitlen wanted to keep the day timeless, elegant and romantic. Her photographer, Amanda Sutton Photography, was the perfect choice to capture the details of the day, along with every memorable moment. Some of my favorite moments captured were those of the couple and venue, outside, on what was said to be "one of the foggiest days in years".

From the beginning, it was noted that not only the couple, but the entire family, including Kaitlen's late father, Joel were major UNC Tarheels fans (graduates from UNC Chapel Hill, devoted travelers for every basketball game, Carolina Blue through-and-through!). Wanting to keep to the romantic and cozy aesthetic with the burgundy and emerald green, Carolina blue was brought in through detailed touches in the brides shoes, ring box, cocktail stirrers and honored in the bride's fathers seat with his favorite Carolina blue blazer.

Even with these beautiful details, one of the top priorities on my to-do list, was making sure that Ramses traveled the 600 plus miles from Chapel Hill to make his appearance. on the dance floor. Since we had to wait for the winter sport schedule to come out, before confirming Rameses busy schedule, I probably emailed the Mascot coordinator once a month to make sure that we will still on his radar. Fortunately Ramses did make his surprise appearance, and there is plenty of photo proof to say that he definitely made the party!

Come the end of the night, as the couple shared one last private dance together (my favorite wedding tradition), we gathered everyone outside for a grand exit that ended with Ramses driving the couple away in a luxury Tesla! Before it all ended though, I was able to say my goodbyes to Kaitlen and Dustin. This is always such a sentimental moment for myself, especially after months of planning, but something I always cherish, if only to experience the pure happiness of such a memorable moment.

Congratulations to a forever love, and a lifetime of happiness!
